We are proud to offer the Stimulus Maksima program to our learners to help them acquire the necessary skills and strengthen them to achieve the best academic achievement.
Stimulus Maksima offers the following:
Stimulus Maksima is aimed at empowering anyone from the age of four years up to adults to develop and improve their reading and mathematical skills.
We cover reading development needs through every school year, as well as advanced reading skills improvement for tertiary students and adults.
Our maths skills improvement product covers the full Grade 1 to Grade 12 curriculum.
We offer the following products:
Van Riebeeckpark Primary School offers extra intervention classes, after school in the afternoon, to all learners who exhibits dysfunctions (fall-outs) and problem areas. Learners who are borderline cases, or learners who failed, will receive letters to attend these classes. We offer Home Language, Additional Language, as well as Maths and Reading.
Extra Math classes, where learners use the Stimulus Maksima Maths Muncher program, are offered after school in the computer centre.
Extra reading classes, for Foundation Phase learners (Gr 1 - Gr 3), are offered in the computer centre in the afternoon. The program utilized for this purpose is Stimulus Maksima’s Reading Rocket.
We are in the privileged position to have a support and remedial teacher on staff, during school hours, for our Gr 1 - Gr 3 learners. Learners identified with dysfunctions (fall-outs) and problem areas, are referred to this teacher for individual support and attention. This way we ensure that work that has already been dealt with, is revised and exercised. We believe that this is definitely a win-win situation.
Regular attendance by the relevant learners, and off course parents’ support, may just be the boost required to put the child on the road to success. When children experience success, it builds their self-image and self-confidence.
Tear-off slips are handed to the relevant learners and the slips should be signed by the parents and returned to the school immediately.
